Gunlocke's New Casegoods Line Boasts Green Credentials
Gunlocke’s new Credentials line is aptly named. Sustainably manufactured, the casegoods line is backed by “credentials” from both SCS Indoor Advantage Gold for indoor air quality and the BIFMA level 2 certification. Credentials furniture also can be used toward achieving LEED credits.
“Credentials was designed to help Gunlocke reach its environmental goals through its structured ‘Design for the Environment’ process,” Roy Green, director of Stewardship/Sustainability at Gunlocke said in a statement.
“This process provides a platform for asking questions, assessing information and making choices to effectively incorporate sustainability into Gunlocke’s products throughout their lifecycle.”
Along with being environmentally friendly, Gunlocke says the furniture demonstrates the flexibility, functionality and durability required in today’s office products. These include: Sit-to-Stand options using an electric-driven system in three preset heights; soft-close hinges on all the doors; cantilevered worksurfaces; magnetic tackzone for posting papers and accessories; soft lift or sliding door overheads; an optional hinged wall access panel for clean wire management; recessed LED task lighting and dowel construction drawer systems. Highlighting Credential’s contemporary look are quarter cut and rift cut veneers, combined with leather, stone and glass accents. Stainless steel hardware adds to the casegoods’ clean design.
